Q: What's your style as a Photographer?
A: ecause we try not to limit our vision to one philosophy. The coverage of the ceremony tends to be very Photojournalistic in look, but we never hesitate to do posed shots, Terri has a classical eye for posing, with beautiful traditional shots.
Q: Who will be Photographing me?
A: Terri. We sometimes bring along an assistant. We have a couple of experienced assistants who have helped us on numerous jobs, and we trust them to help us set up lighting, carry equipment and help get large groups coordinated.
Q: Do you use flash for the ceremony, etc?
A: Depends entirely on the wedding, and your preference. We know how to use flash on and off the camera to make it as "unfake" looking as possible, with soft flattering light so that you will never know the picture was taken with flash. We are also very good with natural light using fast lenses and the best cameras to deliver the best images. All of this we decide before hand, when you book your wedding, finding out the best strategy for the venue, and letting you know what we think in terms of giving you the absolute best in any given situation.
Q: How many pictures will I get from my wedding?
A: We put no limit on the # of pictures that we take, sometimes taking thousands of images. That doesn't mean you will have to sit and go through thousands of pictures to decide which you like best. We work on giving our clients only the best, and depending on the wedding it usually comes out to around 600-1200 images that we think best represent the day. Every wedding is different, and the timing of everything affects this a lot. This is why we usually shoot with two photographers. We think it is close to impossible to see all the magic of the day with just one perspective.
Q: Will my pictures look like what I see on your website? And how much of your work is "Photo shopped" ?
A: Yes, and No, every photo we take goes through at least two levels of editing. The first, to determine what's the best of all the images taken, and to make basic adjustments to color, contrast and sharpening. The second level we do on a picture to picture basis, depending on if we think it needs a little more pop, or skin smoothed, or just to make it a beautiful Black and White print. Sometimes we even go through a third level. Most of the images on the Website have been through the third level, and represent our favorite images. If you are getting a DVD of your prints it includes all the final versions of the images. As for photoshop we never use it to alter a person, or "Fix" a bad image. If we take a bad picture, we fix what we did wrong and retake it on location. We do our best not to over-process our images, or create a "Fake" look. We only enhance through artistic interpretation. We enjoy making images, not sitting in front of a computer:)
Q: Yay!! How can I book a date? And what are your Prices?
A: Our Wedding Collections start at $1800. Give us a call or send us an email and we will send you a price list, and also to make sure the date is not already booked. We can then set up a consultation, and this can take roughly an hour and a half. We can discuss any questions you might still have, go over package details, or come up with a completely custom package, and just discuss the details of your day. If you do decide to book with us, we would then require a deposit and sign a contract. That's it:)
Q: Do you like photographing people?
A: Can't tell you how much. Really, ask anyone who knows us. We love what we do. Taking beautiful photos is incredibly rewarding to us. This is our dream job!
