When my Mom first started dragging me along to Weddings and Photoshoots I had no idea the passion and love I would eventually find for this art. With her, I grew accustomed to the hustle and pace of events and weddings, dealing with people and trying to find that last bridesmaid that seems to have wandered off at just the wrong time. I learned the basics of photography, and could navigate a complex DSLR. But even with all this, I was just a helper, preferring to haul lights and take meter readings. I rarely took a picture.
That all changed in 2005, when I joined a small missionary team to do volunteer work at an orphanage in Botosani, Romania. I had nothing with me but a small Canon Powershot, but the pictures I was able to take forever changed my view on this Art, and my role in it. In Romania I realized how many wonderful people go through life with very little record of life, memories, experiences, and the beauty of that fleeting moment are lost to time.
Its my goal as a Photographer to remember, to bring focus to the Joy of life, to drown out all the noise of motion, until only the Love that God gives us remains.
I would be privileged if you would let me be part of your Moments, the ones that make you smile, the ones that make you cry, and the ones that take your breath away. Everyday is a gift from God. Lets glorify Him together through remembering.
